  • Payment-related (for paid features): billing name, address, and payment method details (processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store full card numbers).
  • Business directory/advertising: business name, contact details, website, logo, description.

Information Collected Automatically:

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages visited, time/date of access, referral sources.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies, analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics), preference cookies (see Section 9 for more details).
  • Log data: error logs, access logs, interaction patterns.

Information from Third Parties:

  • Veterinarian verification: we may receive confirmation of invoice legitimacy directly from the veterinarian (limited to verification status, not full medical records).
  • Payment processors: confirmation of successful transactions for paid features (we do not receive full payment card details).

We do not collect sensitive health information about you or your pet beyond what is necessary for the crowdfunding request (e.g., we do not store detailed medical diagnoses or treatment records; only invoice verification and high-level descriptions you provide).

3. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To create, maintain, and secure your account.
  • To review, approve, and display crowdfunding requests (including contacting veterinarians for verification).
  • To facilitate community interaction (e.g., displaying profiles, badges, ratings).
  • To operate, improve, and personalize the Services.
  • To communicate with you (e.g., account notifications, request updates, support responses).
  • To enforce our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and prevent fraud/abuse.
  • To process payments for membership, advertising, or business listings (via third-party processors).
  • To comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Information

We may share your personal information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With your consent (e.g., when you publicly post a crowdfunding request, your name/username, pet details, and images become visible to other users).
  • With service providers: third-party vendors who assist us (e.g., hosting, analytics, email delivery, payment processors) under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • For legal reasons: to comply with laws, respond to subpoenas/court orders, protect safety, prevent fraud, or defend our legal rights.
  • In connection with a business transaction: if we sell, merge, or transfer assets (your information may be transferred as part of that transaction).
  • Veterinarians: limited contact information to verify invoices (only as necessary for approval).

Crowdfunding request details (description, pet images, updates) are publicly visible to help attract pledges. You control what you share publicly.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
